Snap – Rules of the Game |
Snap is a fun reaction game where the goal is to be the |
fastest to spot two cards of the same value. |
Preparation |
Shuffle the deck and deal all the cards to the players. |
It does not matter if one player receives one more cards |
than the others. |
Each player places their pile face down in front of them. |
How to Play |
Each player slides the top card forward from their pile |
and turns it face up in front of them so that everyone |
sees the card at the same time. |
The card should never be turned toward yourself, |
as this would allow you to see it before the other players. |
Cards won during the game are placed face up on top of |
each other in a separate pile in front of the winning player. |
When the draw pile is empty, this pile is
turned over and |
becomes the new draw pile |
Since all won cards have been placed face up,
the last card |
won will end up at the bottom of the new draw
pile, |
preserving the correct order of the cards. |
Whenever two or more face-up cards have the
same value, |
for example, two 7s or two Kings—the first
player to |
press Snap! wins. |
The player who reacts first and is correct
wins all the |
cards currently on the table. |
These cards can also be placed underneath the
winner's |
draw pile. |
Incorrect "Snap!" |
If a player presses Snap! when there are no two cards |
of the same value, it is considered a false
Snap. |
That player is out for the remainder of the current round |
and may not participate again until all the cards on the |
table have been collected and a new round begins. |
The remaining players continue competing for
the cards |
on the table. |
Running Out of Cards |
A player who has no cards left is eliminated from the game. |
The remaining players continue until one player has won |
all the cards. |
Winner |
The player who eventually collects the entire deck is the |
winner of the game. |
SnapServer and SnapClient |
In the traditional card game, players often disagree about |
who called "Snap!" first. With SnapServer and SnapClient, |
those arguments disappear. |
Whenever a Snap occurs, players simply press
the Snap! |
button on their device instead of shouting. |
The server measures every reaction with millisecond |
precision and immediately displays who reacted first. |
Every player sees the same result at the same
time, |
making the game completely fair and
eliminating any |
disputes about who was first. |
Enjoy Snap! |
Exciting and fair games with family and friends! |
